A team of Halifax Grammar grade five and six students is participating in the annual Woozles "Battle of the Books" competition. Our dedicated group of readers of the 60 pre-selected titles has been meeting weekly since October in order to prepare. This year's members include veterans Xander Christian and Hannah Ransome, and newcomers Samia Alkhudairy, Chloe Anderson, Laila O'Carroll and Becca Shaw. After a fine showing in the two games of round one, the team has progressed to round two, which begins in February. Good luck to all, and additional thanks to Anna Bakowsky, last years coach, for her assistance to date.
