Ms. Brock recently took her Geography class on a virtual field trip via Instagram Live - a Grammar first! Since she couldn't take them to the "field", she took the "field" to them!
The focus of the trip was on demonstrating how to conduct geography fieldwork and the specific question they investigated was: "To what extent has Agricola Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and its surrounding area, been gentrified?" Below is a photo of an ungentrified house that Ms. Brock used as an example in explaining how to measure the level of gentrification. Kudos to Ms. Brock for ensuring that her students were stll able to experience a field trip despite our current circumstances.
