Our team of Alex Yang '26 and Michael Sullivan-Mirza '26 won the Provincial Title. They defeated Armbrae Academy in the final round of debate. In addition, Michael and Alex have earned the right to represent Nova Scotia at the National Junior High British Parliamentary Championships early next year.
In the Senior Division, our team of Zoya Hussain '22 and Saesha Grover '22 placed 3rd and won the right to represent Nova Scotia at the National Senior High British Parliamentary Championships later this month.
Also of note is that Delina Aman and Tim Levy turned out to be key volunteers. They had offered their services as Junior Division Judges, but were pressed into action as debaters when students from other schools were unable to attend. This enabled the event to run much more smoothly.
