On February 20, Grammar Connect hosted its first cooking show! Attendees were provided dumpling kits and learned how to make them over Zoom with Halifax's Dumpling Divas featuring Mr. McGarrigle! Dumpling Divas and Grammar Parents Rui Nickerson and Jessica Zhang taught everyone how to make their beloved dumplings to help raise funds for Student Financial Assistance at Grammar.
The cooking show was a success raising over $1000 for Student Financial Assistance! We're thankful for the Dumpling Divas by sponsoring this event and taking the time to show us how to make delicious dumplings at home. Also, a special thanks to Mr. Bhathena and Mr. Beers for the tech support to help the Zoom session run as planned.
At Grammar, we are looking forward to hosting more fun events like the Dumpling Cooking Class to help bring our community together and enjoy ourselves even when we can't be together in person!
