Altruism: Orange Shirt Day

Updated: Oct 14, 2020

On September 30, Grammar students, faculty and staff took part in Orange Shirt Day by wearing orange to acknowledge the history of residential schools in Canada and to learn more about their impact on Indigenous children. Some of our Middle School students explored this topic even further through a cross-cultural unit in which they created a timeline of historic events relating to the residential schools (see first photo below on the far left). At Grammar, we're committed to continuing our learning on this important topic and piece of Canadian history.
