In the Prep School this October, the Prep Grammarians participated in UNICEF's K.I.N.D. Schools program to fundraise for schoolchildren in Malawi. The Prep School took to action by having a coin drive for a week to raise money for the cause, with an incentive for people to donate; for every coin someone donates, they got to place one vote for Ms. Schindler's costume, and the winning class who raises the most money, got to choose Mr. Laffoley's costume for Halloween at Grammar.
The winning class for raising the most money was Ms. Gallupe's Grade Three class, raising a total of $266.00, with a total of $1572.02 raised throughout the school.
The winning class was eager to win, and they got what they wanted, making Mr. Laffoley dress up as a hot dog for costume day at Grammar.
Congratulations to the Prep School and Ms. Gallupe's Grade Three class for your fundraising success and giving Mr. Laffoley the best costume of the day! You all made the community #GrammarProud for raising money and awareness for an important cause. Below are three of the students from the winning class showing off the coins they raised for the coin drive in front of the UNICEF posters in the Prep School.
