Grammar’s Track and Field team had a successful meet at the Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation (NSSAF) provincial and regional championships.
On May 15th and16th, 1,100 athletes from 28 schools came together to compete in the Halifax High School Championships. Grammar’s team consisted of 57 students, 34 of whom advanced to compete in the regional championships held at Beazley field in Dartmouth on May 22nd and 23rd.
At the regionals, 23 out of 34 Grammar students went on to the provincial championships that took place on May 31st and June 1st at Acadia University in Wolfville.

At the provincial championships, David Waller from Grade 10 competed in the Intermediate Boys 3000m Race and finished with two gold medals, he also competed in the Intermediate Boys 800m Race where he won a silver medal.
Katie Blunden from Grade 12 competed in Senior Girls 400m Race and finished with one gold medal and one silver for Senior Girls 800m race. Noah Adler one of the younger team members, finished with one gold medal in Junior Boys Hurdles.
Ethan Marshall-Harris from Grade 11 finished with a bronze medal in Senior Boys Shot Put and broke the school record. The junior girls 4 x 400m team won with a bronze medal and Grant Keefe in Grade 10 broke the school record in Intermediate Boys Javelin.
