December events recap

Updated: Dec 17, 2019

Holiday Munch

This month, the Parents' Activity Committee (PAC) organized the annual Holiday Munch that took place on Dec. 1. Members of the community came to the school to enjoy delicious holiday treats and take part in craft-making activities of all kinds. This event is always a family favourite as everyone gears up for the holiday season.

Grammar Classic Basketball Tournament

We hosted the 14th Grammar Classic Basketball Tournament from Dec. 5-7. With four boys and four girls teams competing, the tournament was an exciting one, and even capped off with a win by both our girls and boys teams in the final games! Our student council organized a pep rally the day before the tournament to get students excited for the "spirit" game the following day.

Student vs. Teacher Hockey Game

This December, our school hosted a teacher vs. student hockey game at the new St. Mary's rink. With alumni, current parents and teachers attending the game, fun was had by all! Thank you to Mr. Joseph for organizing a fun event for our community!

Junior Achievement at Grammar

On December 8, our Junior Achievement (JA) Company Program students took part in JA Nova Scotia's annual trade fair at the NSCC Akerley campus. This year, the product created by our students is called Flip'd, a colourful new option for your light switches. Check out the video below to learn more. If you are interested in purchasing a light switch, please contact Dr. Mike at
